I don't know what the worst part is

not being your latest fascination

or knowing I wasn't good enough



all of the signals, the flirting,

the touching, the hugging,

the tension, the desire,

fake? just a rush?



was I just something to keep you occupied

something to keep your nights alive

someone to help you pass the time

so you wouldn't have to be alone



is that all you thought i wanted

just a good time, just a little fun

could you not see it meant more than just another goal



I can't decide if I want to keep trying

or walk away

you won't give me a sign

keep trying, or call it a day
