Once my reflection was blood-stained

My every tear that fell was tainted and tattered

All my hopes and dreams were shattered

All seemed to be lost

I was desperate, wanted to give up no matter the cost

I did not want to see another tomorrow

Because they were all filled with sorrow

I tried everything to make it alright

Lost the strength to continue to fight

I took everything and just let it shatter

Just let all the ashes scatter

There was love,waiting for me in the embers

There where I let go of the wreckage, I surrendered

He took my hand

Said he has been there and understands

Showed me love finally real and true

I was so lost without it and did not know what to do

He shined a light in my world of darkness

Showed me that life can be worth it

He lit the fire back in my heart

That was the beginning, a brand new start

From that day on, my heart felt lighter

He made my heart smile and I felt happier all the while

He is my protector, my support, my rock

He is my world, all that I got

and to share my life with him,

Is a brand new start
