CONTEMPLATING NIETZSCHE LAYING ON THE GRASS AT A MUSIC FESTIVAL

A young woman taking concern

over my well being

as I lay there during the set.

Her concern was touching

albeit completely unnecessary

as I was laying there listening

to the band with one ear

and contemplating Nietzsche

with my remaining brain cells.

I was in no apparent danger

of passing out

or suffering from dehydration.

I know what Nietzsche wrote

and I must admit

Iā€™m becoming more skeptical

with each passing day.

Author's Notes/Comments:

not even sure when I wrote this--presumably at an outdoor festival where I required some laying on the grass time.

"remaining brain cells"

I hope I was supposed to smile, read it twice, just to be sure. In real-time. God is not dead, the God principle is a totality. It's just simpler, the dogma and text an arrow. Neato poem - slc

God may not be dead but

God may not be dead but Nietzsche is.
