Watching the birds flutter in the sky
And the grass blowing in the wind
Through innocent eyes

Wandering out in the wild
Running through the trees
Dancing with the leaves
Through innocent eyes

Seeing the sun setting in the sky
Now homeward-bound
Hesistating slightly before stepping inside
With innocent eyes

Crashes echoing through the night
Shattered pieces on the floor
Their fight all reflecting
Through innocent eyes

No one would guess that
All this destruction, pain
Was haunting this child's
Innocent eyes
