DEWDROPS...

With weiry eyes I escape my dreams

Still so surreal every moment seems

As the grass prickels beneath my feet

And how, to the gentlest beauty my eyes meet

You're so beautiful, precious like the first drop of rain

Yet somehoe, beneath those covers I see your pain

With a few steps, I lean down to caress you with care

I hope a little love you can bare

Every petal so perfect, soft and delicate

On you forever, my eyes could be set

But as dewdrops touch my fingertips

I see you cry too, how my heart it rips

I see how you forage for...something

But all you have is dearth of everything

Isolated in millions you dither to tell

Why dewdrops crown you, and how you fell

Little frisson ofbfear seeps through me

As I long await for an answer I cannot see

Maybe it's time that I rouse

Maybe one day I could fix your broken vows

One last touch and thats my goodbye for tonight

As I drift my eyes away from your pearly-whites

I feel my palm wet from drops, and realize

Those don't belong to you, but to my eyes.
