A Thousand Knives

Slaps at my face.

The rain hits me like a thousand cold knives.

Where is the peaceful drizzle I usually

see and feel?

Or am I just blowing this out of proportion

too?

Like everything I do.

Pondering about my life as I run,

And-

the rain continues to stab my face,

And-

the thoughts about of you continue to stab my

soul.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Wrote this puppy after a painful speed workout in a rain storm.  I was upset with someone special at the time and all of a sudden the words were there on the paper.
