A TREASURE I FOUND

So many people have hurt me,
And some have even ventured,
To plot my ruin and destroy me,
In body, heart and mind, completely.

I loved and gave everything for love,
Not so long ago, yet I failed,
Perhaps the Writer of Fate above,
Wanted to see how I prevailed...

I love and vow that I love to love,
An incurable romantic beyond doubt I am,
And my good heart - a wounded dove,
Still gives solace to those it can.

I am a fighter and have always won,
The tussles and combats time came with,
Yet the Invisible Master of destiny,
Shows me the limits of my kingdom.

Now, I am content with what He wills,
And sadness is my fate-cup's fill,
Deep inside I am still the same,
Caring, loving, forgiving and tame.

A woman like me I have found,
Who loves me more than others around,
And she is like God's greatest blessing,
Conferred on me -- a treasure I found.

So, when I reflect on the years gone by,
And the present way of my passing life,
I say that even if I am sad some time,
God's mercy on me always does shine.

My beloved is a woman, one of a kind,
Last of a vanishing breed I will say,
I care for naught for I am not blind,
To her love, rejuvenating me, each day.

Okay, after my previous comments...............

I suddenly penned this impromptu poem and I had to share it here with you so you can joyously enjoy my silly crush on you even more.

who do you love
she
and not me
is of no matter
really
competition is
little more
than an
adolescent's plea
well still
I sulkily say
lucky, lucky she
'Your Wounded Dove'
I tease you
sure
with my playful gaffs
I smile in my words
just so
to make you laugh
I am a harmless
force of feminine verse
come on
admit it
I lighten your day
and charm you to
smile for awhile
even if you curse
damn that woman
for making light of
my love for
my lady love
sure she's a pest
to me
but poetically
you'd readily confess
she's a notch above
and so you have me
rhyming in my head
lucky lady she is
that lady he loves......................

enjoy it sir poet I know I made you smile with this................
I dare you to deny it!
P.S. oh, and tell your lady she it's only a poetic crush so she has
nothing to worry about.

Your dam lucky woman!

I'm so jealous of her sir poet and you know it! Sometimes I think you write these poems not really cause you love your beloved woman so much but so you can make the rest of us poetesses who have poetic crushes on you jealous to our eye teeth! winks You know I only tease you. I wish you and your beloved lady she every happiness. Stop hiding her and let me tell her some time just how damn lucky I think she is.
I ever remain your poetic friend and sounding board. Sincerely that crazy woman you occasionally like to bless with a friendly email or two...............

Thanks but I cannot reveal her

Thank you for the critique and the poetic reply. But I cannot reveal who she is...she too prefers the anonymity and the mystery. Smiles...
