It's As If We're Making Love

Folder:
Love Poems

I need to share with you tonight

Across the room, I want to

To show you.

Come to me, closer

Let me touch you, soon

You stand there in your aura

And I glow

From the knowledge, of you

Feel the keeness

  of emotional need

It fires across the room,

 doesnt everyone see

This drawing toward

 and pushing away

That I feel from your eyes.

And its as if we're making love

In this room of strangers

The heat is so high

They're sure to know, they've got to know

This thing we can't hide.

And then its gone

A shadow passes over our sun

And its gone.

And you turn as if it never was

It probably never was.

And its as if we were making love

In this room of stranger

the heat so high

They're sure to know, they must know

This this thing we can't hide.

Then a voice as if from within

Speaks sofly

In my ear, you say

You know, I know, I must know you

From another place in time

I could feel it, you said

From there across the room.

And its as if we're making love,

inside this room of strangers,

The heat so high

They're sure to know, they must know

This thing we can't hide.
