Problem Is (the loving years)

Just a "perfect" day

For this "perfect" couple

With their "perfect" relationship

And their "perfect" future.

...Problem is, there's no such thing as "perfect"...

"I truly love you with all my heart," two lovers' lips enunciate as they interlace together.

...Problem is, there's no such thing as "true" love...

"I'll love you forever and I'll always be there for you," she writes in her secret little diary.

...Problem is, love is only temporary...

"You are the most beautiful woman on this entire planet," he says with smiles upon his face.

...Problem is, her insides reveal the unpicturesque and conniving ways of her true self...

"You brighten my life just like the sun," she gently weeps with tears of joy streaming down her cheek.

...Problem is, the gray storm clouds are rapidly congregating in her head...

"Hold me close and keep me warm on this perfect, blissful night," he whispers softly in her ear.

...Problem is, her cold heart and blood are capable of reversing fire into frigid ice...

"I hope that we will never break apart," she sings with open arms.

...Problem is, she'll be saying the exact same thing to a different guy with each passing new moon...

"I'll be the holder of your heart and the star in your dreams every night," disposable words are mumbled under the blanket of lies.

...Problem is, she already neglected his mind, corrupted his soul, and in the approaching hours, she will drop his fragile heart on the floor, cracking it like an eggshell...

"I really didn't mean to hurt you like this and leave a permanent scar in your life," she says with those same fake toxic tears that splash on the carpet.

...Problem is, she would not hit the reset button even if there were such a thing?

"How am I ever going to move on and find someone new when the rain blurs all those faces outside?" he questions with a shaking cranium staring down at the sidewalk.

...Problem is, it's only raining in his head, and soon the storm clouds will dissever in his disoriented mind...

"Looks like I'll be alone forever," he says with a sigh as he waves "farewell" to the shadow of his ex-lover.

...Problem is, this all so familiar cycle of love will soon originate all over again...
