Then Again...This is America

Folder:
A Scar is Born

This is America...

This is the nation...

That rapaciously rules the wretched world...

I can't believe that we forfeit our life savings at the gas stations every single day,

Then again, this is America...the home of the brave and the land of the free.

And I still wonder why we build up billions of boarders and fortify infinite fences just to keep our own unappreciated allies away,

Then again, this is America...and this land was supposedly made for both you and me.

It's preposterous that employees need to be reminded in the restrooms to wash their hands prior to returning to work,

Then again, this is America...and we always manage to discover a new way to become even more lethargic and lazy.

And it's such a sad, sad shame that this country creates countless catastrophes around the world, yet acts so shocked when the spine of our unstable society is ripped right out of downtown New York,

Then again, this is America...and according to rewired robots, reality often appears to be a bit hazy.

Why are there gargantuan golden arches glistening the shade of grotesque glory on all the hectic highways as far as the eye can see?

Then again, this is America...and we prefer to consume and devour our plethora of detrimental provisions extremely fast.

And why is this country nothing more than a corrupted cauldron of obesity, greed, and gluttony?

Then again, this is America...and we will never find a way to break out of this contaminated cast.

How do the deranged on the brink of insanity wretchedly witness the turmoil and travesty while pretending everything is fine?

Then again, this is America...and B-U-l-l-S-H-i-t suffocates the city streets and sinks ships in the swallowing sea.

And how can a hippie simply enjoying God's great green gift from the ground rot in jail while a murderer gets away with bloodstains still on his hands for an actual crime?

Then again, this is America…a sweet land of sin without salvation and incarceration lacking even a liter of liberty.

Then again, this is America...

Then again, this is the nation...

That ravenously rules the rest of the wicked world...

Ok I can relate to your anger of things mentioned in this piece but what about the good things of our country. Fair turn about is due a piece the opposite direction too. We have a lot of problems in this country self imposed a lot, but we also have some pretty wonderful things as well. Consider that in the big picture. If you don't like it here consider where else would you have as much freedom??
My personal bitch is with corporate america and how it screws the little guy but one person against the globalists will not bring them down so we have to deal as best we can with what we have to work with..
