I looked into a mirror
when I looked at her face
she was crying softly
a stranger to this place
I took her into my arms
and I promised her the world
in the blink of an eye
I gave my heart to this baby girl
she had her daddy's eyes
and her mother's nose
her daddy's fingers
his feet and his toes
on the first of August
in the middle of the day
my life found new meaning
to never go astray
To gaze into the eyes
of this beautiful girl
shows that theres still room for blessings
in this cold cold world
