Unimportant Destination

the road

it stretches out as far as my eyes can see

the mountains

loom behind it

a reminder of how sweet life can be

town's still a little way off

think i'll enjoy the view

red rock mountains

against a painted blue sky

this is nature as God had intended

quiet and flawless

just me and the trees

everything pleasing to my eye

Author's Notes/Comments:

Found this one yesterday as I was cleaning out my Yahoo! inbox. I belive I wrote it while either on the way to Cottonwood, or thinking about the trip there. Pretty. I miss trees, don't see them all that often!
