Would you see me now?

That insecure little grrl you once knew is dead.

I shed her like old skin, buried her with all my memories of you.

All the tears cried for you forgotten, crushed by my new confidence.

Force fed your lies every day of my life, only to awaken to reality.

Guess what? You were wrong.

What once filled my soul with longing for your acceptance,

has been replaced by distaste.

My mouth sick of tasting your shit.

I am clean.

Free of the disease that is you.

Deal with it.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

Sometimes you look back and you wish you could change everything. You wish you could write letters to everyone who ever knew you and say, "You know what? I am so sorry!" But, unfortunatly, life doesn't work like that. What is even more frustrating is the fact the you can't go back and punch anyone back then, either. So, this poem is a reflection of these types of thoughts. Letters, punches, regrets....
