VANE

Folder:
Good-Bye Love

I TRIED TO REACH OUT TO YOU

AND GET A HOLD OF YOU

BUT ALL I GOT WAS OPEN SPACE

FRUSTRATED, I TRIED AGAIN,

IN VAIN

FOR MY EMPTY FISTS HELD NO TRACE OF YOU

AND IT TOOK A WHILE BEFORE I REALIZED

YOU WERE NOTHING

AND I'D HAD YOU ALL ALONG

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem is about coping with what may not always be best for you. It is not necessarily about a lost love or friendship.... but then again, it might be! (I misspelled the title of this poem on PURPOSE, for all you harsh critics out there!)

I really like this poem. What a way of expressing a love you don't need. Uniquely done.
