Wind

Folder:
Good-Bye Love

you were hiding in the wind

and so i called out your name

loud enough,

hopefully,

for you to hear me.

i whispered to the breeze

i shouted to the trees

but you name got lost in the nothingness around me.

you were hiding in the wind

and so i hid in the sky

thinking, if i was a cloud, you'd mix with me.

you didn't.

you were hiding in the wind

and so i didn't wear my jacket

just so you could touch me

   one

      last

          time

before our final good-bye.

you were hiding in the wind

and i just couldn't admit

the creaking through my bedroom window

would be all i'd ever hear

from you

again

Perhaps nothing is more difficult than letting go.... or trying to crochet a tent. I haven't quite decided.
