When it's English

I've been feeling English

watching language breath

a new life of it's own,

Waves of what I can only

discern as symmetry meet me

and shake my hand evenly,

I'm a wreck but you're the storm

that tore me into,

I'll have another drink if you're

going to beg me to drink,

But I warn you

My opinions are robust

and you, your feelings are

just a bit more fragile than

you know I'm guessing,

Tears don't come for nothing,

They were memories and the

feelings you felt

exiting,

I'm sure you feel better now,

Maybe even great,

Spectacular,

Fantastic,

Monumental achievement incarnate

to recover from this carnage,

I applaude you as I douse myself

in laudanum so I can stop

arguing with my audience,

Its of no consequence

because I'm all monacle,

Too English to observe you,

A speech you must ignore
