Vine Street Temple

Lit a fire and thought of you,
When it died down
and screams subsided
I worked my way inside
To patiently pace the pews,
Taking pauses to give thought
To all the schemes I saw through,
But this one's a little misconstrued,
The mission of the Temple was simple
and the fact of the matter is that they
could not approve,
In their eyes it had to be me versus you

My bride died here when she was wearing white,
Blood spattered and battered,
The witnesses could only applaud,
"Its not our problem
that you even have one
can't you just sit back,
relax, and enjoy the show"
They binded me as I watched the fight,
The sounds of flesh on flesh
and screams attested that
The Louisville Sluggers were ripe,
Vine Street Temple goes up in flames tonight

Author's Notes/Comments:

Story I thought up over a cult that disapproved of a wedding.
