Vanished Past

Vanished Past

Lost in moments carrying you afar,

beneath  star's and moonlight's vanished past;

stir the memories captured in times ago,

their sparkle seen from eye's soft cast.

Through mist of glint - yesterday  still resides,

known as somewhere to always belong;

so oft with tears but ending with smiles,

a place so real - thoughts that take you home.

Into a backdrop from heart's very own,

forever special - tucked in guarded keep;

cherished sights and sounds held tightly near,

come them wakened for all that truly seek.

With life's breath given to shadows of souls,

ageless faces - together in mind;

parted loved ones who've felt Heaven's touch,

beside you in a world they left behind.

Perhaps in the years - someday to follow,

I'll be seen from eye's soft cast;

forever a memory in someone's home,

a sparkle in star's and moonlight's vanished past

Truly a fantastic "handful of words" Dear Friend from Afar

Truly a fantastic "handful of words" Dear Friend from Afar.

The withered and yellowed pages

In the Book of Life and Living

All that yearning all that craving

As true knowledge dawns

Characters of the pages realize

That they're merely pawns

But by then the conclusion is nigh

Characters leave shedding memories

And then up to heaven(?) flies(?) high Laughing

Vanished Past:

what a lovely poem, I really love this poem. The poem is so good at revitalizing the past, memories we create for ourselves and remenise about. What has passed is not gone here but lives on; with each earthly seal of every day, wonderfull.
