Painted Lady

She almost seems alive

and almost seems to smile.

Dressed in all her finery,

in classic Victorian style.

Bejeweled with her adornments,

her makeup so pristine.

Crowned in all her glory,

she looks the 'Victorian Queen.'

Warmly, she'll enclose you,

as through her space you roam.

You'll know you've entered the kingdom,

of a statly, Victorian home.
