All My Riches Wait In Heaven

On Earth an impoverished spirit,

wandering penniless around.

Wearing down my tired soul,

on the pavement that I pound.

Nothing here can I take,

in that moment I am to go.

For all of my life's worth,

what left have I to show?

Wallet that's always empty,

drowning in deep sea of debt.

Can't pay back to anyone,

what I can't beget.

Destitute in the material,

but wealthy in sacred leaven.

I can tough it out here on Earth for now,

all my riches wait in Heaven!
