Catch Me If You Can! (Rhyme)

Oh, the sun is nearly setting,

and the hummingbirds are humming,

Eve the little girl is running,

to be seen.

As the summer night gets cooler,

the fireflies could've fooled her,

by flying out her jar much sooner,

so to flee.

Her little mouth now is smiling,

for just when she caught some glowing,

the lightning bugs they are showing,

prickly lights.

What a night to feel lots better,

staying indoors in hot weather,

is too irksome more than ever,

than outside.

Wondrous, the full Moon is stoking,

light up merriment and catching,

of golden treasure trove's shining,

in her jar.

This was really cute. Reminds me of my poem Where do Lightening bugs go during the daytime.
