A Timeless Silver Dream

Traces of me you left

inside my lonely heart

draw in the penultimate breath.

As the stars glimmer crystal clear

up against reflections of dark water

you can see my shooting star recede.

Only a silent speck

suspended on silver wings.

And I slowly sink away.

See the Moon?

Although waxing, it smiles

in tranquility while the stars whisper

pleasant songs to the nearby wind.

But when the Moon completely fades

and out arrives the bright, glowing Sun,

so will the snowing stars

that illuminate the night sky.

I absorb one breath.

A moment like this is fleeting

in a sliver of Time.

An ephemeral dream to touch

with your heart ‘til it is no more;

then only to be remembered

for eternity.

I like the ephemeral quality of the piece. Reminds me more of and I think is suited nicely for prose poetry than a poem.

Obviously you think deep. This poem doesn't seem to originate from someone your age. Ultimately absorbing! Imagery is pretty much well painted.
