Remembrances of You and Me: Soft Melodies Will Play Forever in the Heart

Folder:
Loss / Mourning

How can one forget someone like you Uncle even when you're gone?

Though I greatly mourn for your death I'm relieved you won't have to suffer anymore.

Quietly I remember how you always gave me encouragement.

Even as I cry I remember all the things you've done for me.

The piano plays the melodies of the heart as I remember you.

Thank you Uncle for giving me melodic pieces of you.

These memories I'll always cherish.

The music will always be heard.

And I promise I won't forget.

Ahh, poems of death... they always bring me to tears. This one did as well. I can be so drawn to them. Especially ones with personal experiences attached. Amazing. I can feel serenity when I read it, yet sadness. It's a mix of two powerful emotions that grant me a sense of self.

Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
