Moondrop Memories

Palatable images

envision my mind

of a forgotten "you".

Author's Notes/Comments:

Something quick; a one sentence attempt. So it's nothing structured or specific and it's definitely not haiku.  Why it's about "Moon" I don't know why but just wanted to write something here.

I love it. It made me smile to myself and reminded me of my nana, she died of cancer 7 years ago. Every year, it becomes harder and harder to remember her but theres always certain images of her that I will never forget, even if I cannot place them anymore, they will always be there. Fantastic poem.

I think this is profound because anyone can relate to it. Anyone can have a joyous memory of a relationship of the past even if it ended up crashing and burning. There was always a draw or it would not have been a relationship in the first place. It could also be the memory of a special circumstance that one was involved in and comes to mind because something in the here and now evokes it. It can be a special place you feel most comfortable being yet you may not be anywhere near it in this moment or it no longer exists, so yes this piece can be interpreted many ways..In my opinion an excellent write! Your authors note said something "quick" sometimes the best written things are off the cuff in a given moment...
