A Quotation from 'Ohshikouchi no Mitsune'

"The blossoms of the cherry tree already fall like snow.

What more can the wind ask of them?"  - Ohshikouchi no Mitsune

Author's Notes/Comments:

I think there's a bit of lament behind this phrase.  Cherry blossoms are ephemeral.  They bloom and grow with a beautiful, delicate sight for the beholder but eventually the cherry trees shed away its tears.  Blossoms fall and wilt away...  By the way, this is one of my faves.
