My Psalms

In the middle of the woods I stand and look up to the sky to find you.  The lack of stars in the midnight sky is a reminder of the city mere meters away.  A preservation of the beautiful nature you created in this land surrounds me.  I look up to the sky and fall to my knees, for this is your tabernacle, Lord.  I come before you and I wait.

One good love spews from the Father

Up in heaven, and down on earth

A grace so amazing, so true and so pure

As to cleanse me of sin and grant me rebirth

A sacrifice fierce and worthy of I

The Son receives pain intended for me

His blood is spilt as to cleanse my soul

He took the blame upon that tree

A vision of the Ultimate Goal

Beauty outshining, flowers unfurled

The Spirit enters upon my request

And grants me wisdom in the midst of a foolish world

Day by day I grow closer to God

Day by day he draws nearer to me

Day by day the Truth is revealed

As I come to know the Trinity

All the components working together

All that is Love, the great Three-in-One

All that is now and all that is will be

All that is life has only begun

God, you are an amazing Father.  You love and protect me, yet you allow me to learn.  When I happen to stumble you help me to heal.  When there’s nothing left in the world to depend on, you always shine through, realer then real.  You show me compassion, tender forgiveness, punishment and discipline, everything I need.  I trust you Lord, my Father and Creator, author of the poem called life.  Thank you.

God I fall before you

No use in trying to pretend

I haven’t done this in a while

I’m back on my knees again

I’m sorry I betrayed you

I’m sorry I let you down

I’m sorry that I have failed you

Father, turn me back around

I am not worthy to stand in your presence

I would not expect you to listen to what I say

But you welcome me in with inviting ears

So I fall before you anyway

It’s time for all of this to end, Lord

The Hypocrisy that I have made from my life

My Father in heaven, hear my plea

I’m tired of living in sin and strife

Keep faith in me Lord, though I let you down

I promise to do what it is that you say

All though I have failed you time and again

I am going to get it right grant me one more day

I am nothing compared to the greatness of you

You inspire me just by hearing my plea

Your ultimate grace, your awesome forgiveness

Continue to amaze and possess me.

Show me your Will and shoe me your Way

The time has come, Lord; I’m ready this time

I never forget the love of my Lord

Forever for me to mime

Please keep writing. I've read several of your poems and you have a real talent. Psalms reaches out to all of us and lets us know that we always have another chance. No matter how many times we fall, He picks us up. It is a real inspiration. Thank you for the honesty and the beauty of it.
