Profile Pictures

There was a standard profile picture

for all new entrants on all blog sites

Some sites it is a blank PP little special

On FB site a male and female are different

Not so on Postpoems dot orgs

Writers and poets on PP are given freedom

To replace the silouhette,quill and inkpot

With a real photograph of the poster

Yet the majority hide behind myriad masks

Sometimes esteemed writers change

their profile pictures with things interesting 

Some frequently some occasionally

Truly I wonder what really is the matter

I posted these lines since I had nothing better 

Standard PP pic I had 7 years back

Changed it to my real photograph some saw

I brought in Popeye the Sailor Man

But couldn't possibly live on spinach in can

A scrabble board pic didn't help my words

I'm now a futuristic character inward & outwards
