Melting Pot

Dusty feet dragging with disease, malnutrition

Body frail,ribs prominent,sunken face

A handful of cooked rice, some curry

Is he an example of a nations disgrace?

Children flocking to school on cool spring day

Starched clean uniforms.. do they know the way ?

They read,they learn, gather knowledge,play

Nation's future citizens, ornaments, what do you say?

Affluent Party President gazes at future voters

Assures them of all goodies they can dream of

Slings mud at opponent parties- same country, culture

Did you attend that meeting? What made you scoff ?

Seated comfortably , peacefully before a deity

By no means elegant  by no means pretty

She is praying for her children to flourish

Come out of your temple !! Carry out your wish !!
