Fantasy

Bright green sun one morn I perceived

The placid lake was blood red

Tiny silvery stars twinkling on my bed

A new day,a new dawn or a new look?

Music playing in my ears.. in my being

Unearthly tinkling bells,magical flute,booming drum

"Get out of your stale bed you lazy bum"

I urged my son/sun to awaken.........

"Behold the beauty of the sun, the lake......

The lake you see is red.. the sun is green.."

"Look at the clock" said he in utter surprise

At his coaxing I looked intently at the clock

"Is that a clock with no hands which keeps time?"

I tugged at his arm.. made him wide awake

He was thoroughly vexed,annoyed,angry...

"Go to sleep.You're in a nightmare" I wasn't convinced

"My friends this is the day.. the day has at last come!"

I stood up on a study table.. my mind bursting into sparklers

"Go to sleep, sleep, sleep, don't think much don't brood"

But listening to him I was in no mood

"Free me of my shackles !" I told my rapt listeners

I shouted aloud trying sincerely to teach them......

The truth of life, the meaning of living.....................

Shouting aloud quotations from the famous Holy Books

The Bible,Ramayana,Mahabharata,Koran,Gita...............

"I am Lord Krishna,Jesus,Ram,Arjun,Allah............

All the power of knowledge now I have

I can move the Earth , the planets,  , the Sun....

I don't need your advice, I'm not making fun !"

"Look at the clock.Go to sleep.Please. For my sake ! "

"I don't need sleep".... "Then have a glass of warm milk"

"I don't need food.I shall never die.I am immortal......

I'm the wisest of all the Gods with whom I confer..... "

Humility I had cast aside like a soiled cloak

Eyes shone bright with the ignorance of eons.....

Someone switched off the lights. I fell in the dark

I awoke... my bed was warm with sunlight

Warmth caressing my body, love so bountiful...

I gaped at the lake .. the placid lake so beautiful

Ducks were swimming ,the reeds were swaying

Then there was a storm followed by heavy rain

I bounced out of bed happy.. the world was the same again

Quite brilliant I would have

Quite brilliant I would have to say, bishu. I enjoyed this reading thoroughly. I love the imagery of nature that you so well describe, and end with a splendid awakening to life on the terms of life---my favorite line--"Look at the clock" said he in utter surprise

At his coaxing I looked intently at the clock

"Is that a clock with no hands which keeps time?"

:-D I love that! This is wonderful!  So well done, sir. Thank you for sharing this!

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Thank you nightlight1220

Thank you nightlight1220. Glad you liked it. I hesitated before posting it but again on 2nd thought I decided to type. Words are simply a means to communicate with literate humans.Words are never "brilliant" It becomes brilliant in the eyes and mind of the reader. Thanks again (3 times)

Yes---you are right about

Yes---you are right about that! It became brilliant in my mind at that time. So typical of something that would happen in a dream---the colors of nature as well. I very much enjoyed!!
