Four You

Folder:
Chaotic Thoughts

Four walls in my room

Four corners on my bed

Four chambers in my heart

Four directions to travel

In the past I have hidden in

my room Content to pass out and

let sweet Oblivion

release me from pain

Trapped by my own choice

The four walls of my room

The four corners of my bed

As fas as I will travel

The four sides of a box

The box in my mind

The place where I keep my pain

My hurt, my fear, my shame

Four chambers in the heart

Memories tied to the blood

That slows to a crawl

Each time I see you

North, South, East or West

Four directions to travel

So much left to feel and see

Or is it just a desire to flee?

Four extremities that long for you

For tears that ran too long for you

Fears that were fanned by you

And a resolution that can't come from you

So here it is- four sides to my story

Yours, mine, the truth, and the memory

Author's Notes/Comments:

First poem I've published to the public eye! Yippee!! It's exciting! and... terrifying :P

Sorry for the rambling nature- I know it's not technically good

But hopefully good in a heartfelt kinda way

But anyways, true to form my thoughts are usually chaotic and nonsensical with occasional gems of wisdom hidden. Some of the lines in this I quite like, but most of it I want to throw away. It's the thought that counts, right? Right?

Anyways, this authors note, like the poem has gone on long enough.

Welcome to Post Poems

You have written wonderfully. The poem was abstract with floating thoughts like sea waves.

You have succeeded in rhyming off & on.

Let me tell you something. I'm on pp for over 10 years. Continually belting out rubbish with the deftness of a DJ & confidence of a magician.

Be well. Be happy. God bless.
