Catch

Catch

Would you catch me if I fall for you?

Would you let me hit the ground?

Would you let my heart just shatter?

Would you just thank me for coming around?

Do you understand how much I love you?

Do you even care for me at all?

Will you just stand there and watch me?

Will you even try to catch me if I fall?

How is it that love can be so blind?

Neither one of us can be able to see

How much I am hurting you

How much you are hurting me

Is it something in your eyes?

Is it deep in your heart I can read?

Is it the reality that lies in you?

Is your love underneath what I conceive?

I feel my love for you coming to an end

I can only cry so many tears until I am dry

I am still going to fall to see if you catch me

Are you just going to let my love for you die?

Is?

...a poem a series of questions that asked about hearts and their content, will you, can you, will you let me die??? To say: I should be loved by you or won't you loveme please is one way to say this is love, another way: I hurt every time you walk my way and drop your head not speaking. Can't you see my heart extended, hoping you will extend yours? I flinch with agony when you look away but can I need your more than air right now? I need you more than food but can you be my water? Can you become the pulse that drives my ecstacy, the song that fills my ears with love? --- The simple declaration works well too, but poets live to go where no cliche has ever been before...Can a poem be a series of questions? Yes. ~~~~ Lady A
