Come With Me

I’m nothing but your conscious speaking your suppressed mind
Making you aware of the deepest secrets you wish to hide
The fears, the butterflies, those twisted glimpses we deny
Not afraid of recognizing the truth of our human nature
Because I’m the best Pandora’s box, never open me I tell you
All I have are my words, my sentences, my life is unprecedented

Come with me, let’s pursue the only thing worth seeing
A smile, green pastures where we can sing
A stare, a black sky crashed with a million light beams
A new constellation where you and me can gleam

Under the same moon, sharing our unwritten resume
Let’s run free, naked from slavery and god’s rages
Toss away all your diamonds and gold
We will run until our lungs explode with oxygen and love
We’ll pass out as if we had drank all the tequila in the world
Moulting all our perceived notions and computerized convictions

Come with me, let’s pursue the only thing worth seeing
A smile, green pastures where we can sing
A stare, a black sky crashed with a million light beams
A new constellation where you and me can gleam

Because I haven’t understood the way life operates
I read all the books in the shelf, and I still have a million questions
I just hope I can trade all my possessions for a sunny day
Or a night where I can lay with the ants as my cuddling friends

RE: Come With Me ... | Capturing ...

A heart-felt exploration of life's unassuming realities. Capturing in
its simple but humane style of metaphoric rendition - especially
seen in the following lines:

"Come with me, let’s pursue the only thing worth seeing
A smile, green pastures where we can sing
A stare, a black sky crashed with a million light beams
A new constellation where you and me can gleam ..."

Interestingly, I wrote a poetic contemplation of the same:
Come With Me title published here on Postpoems 10 years ago -
in September 2001 on the following link:
http://www.postpoems.org/authors/ugonna/poem/846505

Thanks a million, Avantgarde, for sharing this poetic explication of
your take on life's trying journey because you are:

"Not afraid of recognizing the truth of our human nature ..."

Cheers; and have a blessed year ahead!
