The lady sorrow

Folder:
2004

I made love to life

She left me broken hearted

Such a shame that I felt only joy when we parted

I made love to death

She made my lungs bleed

What a fantasy that she could be all that I need

So I made love to pain

And she fell asleep

What a tangled web we weave when we're in too deep

And I made love to laughter

Till she cried her eyes dry

But oh what a moment; to see happiness die

I made love to hatred

She only turned away

What more could I hope from someone so grey

I made love to freedom

She beat me down to size

And oh how she taught me to truly compromise

Then I made love to sorrow

Such exquisite pain

What I've learned in her moment, I could never explain

Author's Notes/Comments:

How I love her as a lover, and very much so as a friend,
but how I could not live with her, romantically til the end
