In Love We Dwell

Folder:

1.

In the tender haze of summer
I awaken to
The unrehearsed love song
Of the starling

A breeze that smells of, white
linen & sun
Brushes past laced curtains
Painting streaks of lemon
Across a blank canvas of
A wall

I inhale the glow of
Morning
& yawn a memory of
You

2.

If I could chase away all sadness,

I’d turn your blues into sky
Your tears into rain,
form wind from your cries

If I could set you free,

I'd mold a sea from your head,
adorned in waves,
and send you off a-sailin'
to better days

If I could mend your heart,

I’d swaddle you in a
Blanket of New York
So you’d always feel
home, within
my arms

If I could teach you to TRUST,

I’d scrape away all
-Troubles-
paint over the
-Rust-
heal all
-Trauma-

‘til all that’s left is

-US-
