Friends

Forever we talked; forever we listened,

Forever we avoided whatever existed between us,

Maybe it was nothing; maybe it was everything,

Sometimes we wouldn’t speak,

Other times there was nothing to say,

Sometimes we would laugh,

Other times we would cry on one another’s shoulder,

It didn’t matter what we were there for,

Or if we knew what to say or do,

All that mattered was that the other was there.

I can really realte to your words. Sometimes what makes a relationship undefinable is what makes it so great. Those relationships are untouchable, and remain so through time and change.
