a place to ride out the storm

with geometric conviction
writing, without restriction

trying to find a place to ride out the storm

I am a portrait in grey

a working stiff some might say

I do what I must, function verses form

visions compel an image painted black

without any rules petit amour’s attack

I stay cool but my body is still warm

I don’t calculate risk

this reverie on a hard disk
awakening emotion in sonata form

seeking the unbeaten path

ducking the hunters wrath

to that place where beauty and imagination swarm
