Veil of A Thousand Tears

In the morning of the darkness, the star shines throughout her body.
A remnant of the life she lived, and the ways she gave.
As the light begins to shine, the angels weep.
Was it the time for sorrow?
Is this how we bury tomorrow ?
This veil of a thousand tears covered the skies

Sonnet On Horner's "Hymn To The Sea"

At one point in the great "Hymn To The Sea"
(Horner's) beneath the primary melody
the strings---in gentle, contrary motion drawn---
play one phrase out of "My Heart Will Go On."
This towering, awesome artistic height
belittles other worldly efforts, manic
in effort and, in sole impression, dull.
More than an elegy to the Titanic,
the Hymn offers an archetypal call
to Love---endless in joy, and never daunted.
Here is the soul's existence clad in sound.
To write such perfect music is profound;
to hear it is to be forever haunted---
affected beyond words . . . intimately.

Symphony of the Heart

The lyrics to the song you write

Are filled with loss and pain

The keys you play upon your heart

Chime loneliness and shame

The chords you strum that fill your soul

And redefine your life

Your chorusing of love and hurt

Sings triumph in your strife

The harmonies that twirl in air

Remind you who you are

And all in all your symphony

Plays music of the heart

Author's Notes/Comments:

To Kenjamin, hope the druggies who tried to beat you up cried like babies (I know, so heart felt)

Trying

Tried to carve that name out of my arm

Tried to run away from the harm

Tried to bite my nails down

Tried to make a happy frown

But I couldn't do it

No, I just couldn't do it

But I tried to do it

So I'll try again tomorrow

Tried to put myself somewhere else

Tried to be someone else

Tried so hard to get along

Tried so hard but it all went wrong

Tried to carve that name out of my arm...

Author's Notes/Comments:

I gotta say... This sounds way better with the steady rhythm guitar and the blow-your-eardrums-out drum solo. But yeah, these are the words.

We Interpret

Slow moving waves.

Bursts of light

Feels like an eternity of notes

Music.

Rhythms coming, going

Staying in the same dimension

Never daring to go past

One day, it will surpass

Waves hitting my mind

And exploding:

Millions of tiny colorful fragments

Chaos pattern to a respective place

We interpret!

Music.

Jazz At Midnight

Take a shining star

And cast it into the midnight sky

The wind is blowing softly

Singing such a soft lullaby

Just walk on down the cobbled road

You share your thoughts

We share this lively throng

I share my world

As the music shares its song

This is jazz by midnight

A collection of tunes and memories

Walk down the road and cross the bridge

See the moon & stars & twinkle lights

This is our journey

Words sung by the nights instruments

Only here and now

Dance with me tonight

Under the moon & stars & twinkle lights

Forget this world for a while

Let us make our own

In the moonlight

Author's Notes/Comments:

Was listening to French Jazz at the time... :D

The Contract

Folder:
Thought For Food

you signed the contract
said it was heaven sent
i just laughed
the root of all evil grew from gods seed, i guess

you shopped the center
covered the spectrum
i just glanced
and looked ahead eying through your storm the..aftermath

you looked at me funny
"what you looking at?"
i didn't need to ask
i didn't even answer

memory is fickle
and dollar signs, sickles
you cleared path
the root of all evil grew from gods seed, i guess

the root of all evil grew from gods seed, and darkness
i was clear with my words and that shed light on it
so you bowed to the sun over your fruits
a gold cross now represented your works

..your work...

i passed you by today
tore the poster child
you glanced then stared
and falling behind your stormfront..aftermath

you looked at me funny
"what you looking at?"
i didn't need to ask
i didn't even answer

we both know you're the one who signed the six or five figure contract with the devil

Birds Eye View

Folder:
Thought For Food

a thicker musk of methane rose from an early morning

in a field that smacked all of the senses

a day after the smoke had cleared and the dust had settled

a slow decay chasing the better principles of mankind setting in

a kick in the crotch of rebirth spawned from the early morning

in a field stillborn, had awaited "abort"

a few nervous soldiers that realized there ain't any bad guys that take aim

against decay chasing the better principles of mankind setting in

and a wounded dove of my dreams rose with a broken branchling

from a field that smacked barren the harvest

a day after the smoke had cleared and the dust settled

the slumped wingspan nosedove into the better principles of earth, engines dead

kamikaze

like a magnet

a pheonix back to the ashes

we've reverted back this far

into the path of destruction

a riddled death wish child

playing in rush hour traffic

did we ever - ..

but did we ever for a moment rise from the ashes

let me take you there

a birds eye view

gods periscope

see further down the road

every day is the scene of any war

don't be afraid to look down

cause we're always looking up

not even all around

nor ahead of us

on this lemming run

take a birds eye view

gods periscope

see further down the road

every day is the scene in any war

where crumbled houses near by, hit by shells stray or not

contain broken puzzles that solve our faces

nervous glances that dodge every stare but electric eyes

a slow decay chasing the better principles of mankind settling in

into a wounded dove of my dreams risen with a broken branchling

from a field that smacked barren the olives

this day after the smoke had cleared and the dust had settled

the slumped wingspan nosedove into the better principles of her, engines dead

kamikaze

like a magnet
