craving

Vice

Folder:
2024

skim me slowly like the sweet

my tongue spends its anticipation on

sugar & strawberries

molasses melt me like a sinner

candy carve me like a sieve

warmth cascading / hot & sweet like I’m celebrating something

fitting, then, it leaves me more like a bang than a whisper

it is still not even tomorrow

I open another jar

put your sugarfree hand up &

tell me you’re fine

we all need a little vice sometimes

especially after sunset

the sort of moon

that makes you want to whisper

makes you want to reach for the outline of me

midnight sugar & key limes

I dare you

try to kill an hour another way

the way my addiction claws heavily to something

hands itching to hold

or at least to caress

open a new one again & again

-(c) jerlin 02Nov11 - The day I craved for 'chicken tandoori and cheese naan' until night...so much that at around 8pm, I called a taxi and searched for a restaurant called 'Kapitan', ordered and took it home with me blissfully! :)
