When The World Comes Crashing In

Isn't it funny?

How much it can hurt

When the world comes crashing in

And you're not ready

A world you can't control

With your lips zipped shut

Does your mind scream at you?

What happened?

To your dreams, to your friends

That person you once loved

What you had it's gone

When did the world crash in

I guess it's not love,

Because it's one sided

Its more infatuation

Mixed with lust and obsession

But in the end it still hurts

In love I'm hopeless

Love is all I want

As for what I need

'More' is a word I should never say

As is the word hopeless

Close you eyes and count to ten

While the world is screaming at me:

It's never good enough

Give me a tale to sing

A story a lullaby a thing

Give me a tale of strife

I'll give you the story of my life

"Some people create art

As a means of release

Other people do it

Just to fuel their ego"

My reason is I lost myself

With the factors screaming in your head

Of a suffocating family

Friends who drum the negativity

And the people you love but will never have

Why am I not consumed with tears

But feel the pain inside

So I guess….

Isn't it funny?

How much it can hurt

When the world comes crashing in

And you're not ready
