Another day gone by

Left high and dry

Giving not a single care

What was once pure, now turned black

A corroded fashion statement

To blend the balance of twisted minds

Tie the strings to bring us together

Sever them with your serving hand



The longing, the need, the want to be whole again

Reduced to an empty shell

Filled with despair left wondering why

This all came crashing down

Take this life away

Escape into the unknown



Oh how the poison soothed my nerves

The trickling taste of death dancing on my lips

The executioner within my fingertips

A single moment to absorb

Words spoken with a hateful tone

Wrapped around my heart

Suffocating under a dreadful night



Tensions rising with fiery instincts

Holy scriptures demonstrating chaos

Awakening the sleeper from its slumber

Run to the hills in massive numbers

No turning back with actions set in stone



Give me the strength to be righteous

To amend the beast that I've become

Rid my soul of this fallacy

The beast has worn out its welcome

Exorcise that which binds me to hell

It's a place where evil deserves to dwell



Lost and again never riding the same boat

Looking to the distance

The sun illuminates the path to salvation

3 years in time we danced through our fires

And our journeys once again crossed the line



So glad to see you here

Reborn anew, the shadows have left your soul

But did you think of me as I thought of you?

Did your heart ever tell you to come back?

It seems fate has dealt us both new hands

Walk with conviction and resolve abound

Will we reunite and build another temple?
