Simple mathematics

Turn into the most complex equations

Drifting and sliding into me

Stirring up my senses

I reach out to touch you

Touching you makes me feel alive

Makes me feel complete

But there’s devastation and hopelessness abound in my heart

Plow through these concrete walls

To break free from my prison

And what follows

Is a story of a beautiful tragedy…

Locked deep within your heart

A simple greeting starts into many stories

A story of the life we live

From the people we meet

To those that hurt us

And to those that complete us

From those that hurt us to make us stronger

To those who try and bring us down

I look into your eyes

And see everything that I’ve made this into

What can be brought here?

New ideas and adventures to write in our book

Yet nothing speaks to me

Nothing offers me the words of wisdom

Love is a splendid thing

But only through affection and trust can it be truly recognized

All of the happiness written for this book

All the hardships that come along with life

Are written into time

Where nothing fades away

Just remains a distant memory

A love so bonded together cannot be unbroken

An unspoken language between them

Forgetting to recall the words she said to him

His mind lost in a different time

Whisked away like dust in the wind

And a feather to cap with

The quick and witty words of those who surround you

With essence and beauty

Elegance is something sought for the one we search for

The negative factor of life

Is equated into something that can be painstakingly fathomed

Our mathematics do not add or equal anything

Life yet is one equation

To finish the problem is to solve everything

Only through death will you realize that you’ve lived

I love the way you described everything in this poem. Good job. You caught my attention and held on to it the whole time I was reading
