Boston

Any chance someone could take my place,

So I could escape to Boston?

Drive all night to see my baby

Take the long road out to Boston

The air is thick and hot with sweat

A night to live without regret

Some things are harder to forget

And he's waiting out in Boston

Paper plasic dixie cups

It's all the same to me

Sitting here won't quench my thirst

For a little sanity

The hours go, my car still waits

To take me out to Boston

Borrowed emotions in my brain

Tell me to go to Boston

My head feels wrong, my heart feels right

But only he can make it right

When he pulls me in to hug me tight

In a little town called Boston

I check the channel seven news

Can I catch a glimpse of Boston?

The weatherman predicts more rain but

It's sunny out in Boston

I know I saw him yesterday

But there's something that I have to say

I love him more with every day

That passes over Boston

Paper plastic dixie cups

It's all the same to me

Sitting here won't quench my thirst

For a little sanity

I'll run upstairs and get a bag

And start to pack for Boston

Toothbrush, toothpaste, sturdy shoes

It's a long long way to Boston

Put some coffee in a cup

Hoping it'll perk me up

I'm comin babe, so please stay up

And wait for me in Boston

BOSTON

A very mature work, and well done in its form. The returning to "Boston" is natural, but always surprising. Again, well done.

"Poe" I'm not, nor "Rich" am I,
but I'll be famous, b'ye and b'ye !
