Four Years Together

We don’t have an exact date,

As our anniversary.

We just grew on each other,

The way True Love was meant to be.

But four short years have risen,

And set with the shining sun.

It’s been four years of excitement,

And four great years of fun.

We are the perfect definition,

Of an honest romance story,

And still, after our four years,

We’re shining in all our glory.

We aren’t another product,

Of a high school love’s confusion.

Our open hearts, and open eyes,

See past any stupid illusion.

A sweet and sexy melody,

That brings color to my cheeks.

His smooth voice serenades me,

And comforts me when he speaks.

Her smile never changes,

And makes me happy as well.

Her eyes can see right through me,

And say what her lips can’t tell.

The way he says “I love you”,

Sends chills right up my spine.

It is the best feeling ever,

To know that he is mine.

The way she says “I love you”,

Gives me new will and new way.

The soft spoken words seem to,

Brighten up any dark day.

I asked her for her vow today,

To join the rest of my life.

After four great years together,

I want her to be my wife.

He asked for me to be his bride,

And how could I deny?

I knew four happy years ago,

That he would be my guy!

Author's Notes/Comments:

It's a poem that Shane and I wrote together... it's kinda opposite all of my other poems.
