Worth It

How do you stop a heart from breaking?

When the crack is so deep your soul is aching

This feeling gets more impossible to hide

Can’t anyone see that I’m dying inside?

You’ve captured my heart, and you’ve set me free

You were just what I wanted on bended knee

You have a part of me I can never get back

And strangely enough, it’s the part that seals this crack

So here in my heart lies a memory of you

A line right down the middle that can’t be fixed by any glue

It’s there to remind me that I once loved so deep

And it doesn’t illustrate my losses, but what I got to keep

A symbol of a time when my life was almost perfect

Of a love that ran so deep and always felt so worth it.
