Simply Because

Slap me in the face with your two-cent words as I walk blissfully down the street

Beat me to death with the hammer you formed from your express full countenance

Kick me in the balls of my life as if you thought I had forgotten they were there

Punch me in the stomach of my existence were everything I am finally comes together

Simply because you can

I’ll respond with a carefully chosen number of fifty-cent verbs then swiftly walk away

If I’m bludgeoned with expression I will refuse to express and deny you the pleasure you seek

Then just to rub it in I’ll celebrate the misfortunes of my life so that you don’t have to

It’s all just one big game right so if you destroy my Eiffel tower I’ll tear down your great wall

Simply because I can
