Your eyes

Our eyes were like seasons.. always clashing..

Mine of dull forest leaves always longing your sweet blue skies..

Our colours never mixing but always meeting.. crashing..

Crashing like the sweet azure iris of your beautiful eyes..

Wave after wave merged together in beautiful harmony..

Consuming and compelling me.. an unspoken melody..

As though the waves spiraled out from the dark centre..

Beautiful idle patterns imprinting your eyes and then my heart..

Imprinting my mind and my thoughts and every breath and heartbeat..

As though they were the only thing i was ever to know from end to start..

Imprinting on me your name with memory ink..

Imbedding your image in any thought to think..

Your eyes are the sweet blue skies..

The rain your tears..

Theyre the chaotic beach waves..

Youre in everything i hear..

Your hopeful light filled laughter..

That makes my heart stop and beat..

And i knew id never be the same after..

My eyes met yours, and you met me..

This poem is amazing.  I have been reading poetry since Spring of 1973, and I have only rarely found poems this beautiful, this resonant.
