we made it through

to another year

let us reflect

without being imprisoned

by the casting reflection

let us ponder the wisdom

of past to present affairs

gathering no moss

let us reach for new horizons

with welcome embraced

and not eyes wide shut

let us shed our ailing skins

of old - not to gain new ails

or to regroup the same

yet, to refresh our armor

and dawn the battle field anew

as we face our enemy - gazing

into the mirror

let us bellow the battle cry
