thirsting for the taste of your kiss
i imagine your smooth, soft lips
lightly coated with sweet lip balm,
meeting mine and parting slightly
as our tongues repeatedly meet and shyly dart away
performing their innocent dance.
desiring the security of your embrace
your arms encircling me, one hand on my hip
the other reaching up and caressing my hair
gently holding my head in place,
as if imploring me to stay
though there's nowhere else i'd rather be.
craving your body pressed against mine,
chest to chest,
heartbeat to heartbeat
rhythmically pulsing in unison
in this passionate connection -
the muffled drums of love.
longing for your presence, for our union
the joyous fusion of two entities
a physical manifestation of this love,
such a powerful force
radiating, almost visible,
and nothing short of tangible.
