City Blues

Silence sings my chorus.

Come-hither, it is gorgeous.

Its just...

in my city,

I feel like a tourist.

Tell me to unpack my baggage.

I'll give you letters in English.

Because you give me love in another language.

I like it

when they

kiss...

on the movie screens.

I get excited.

In a way,

it

captures my mood in my dreams.

I go to sleep knowing you come...

to comfort me.

Sadly though,

I awake...

out of your company.

Wish I would've drew two hearts;

over the fog in that taxi car.

In that one place...

underneath that day star.

Silence sings my chorus.

Come-hither, it is gorgeous.

Its just...

in my city,

I feel like a tourist.

Tell me to unpack my baggage.

I'll give you letters in English.

Because you give me love in another language.

Careless whispers in wind blow,

in freedom.

I don't look out at memories in that window;

but I feel the cold of the season.

From a house that you see,

on your way to work,

when you pass by;

there

I left you and me.

I wrote you good bye;

too hurt to try,

you wrote me poetry.

What I would give,

to catch you a dove.

Just be ready to live, laugh, love.

Silence sings my chorus.

Come-hither, it is gorgeous.

Its just...

in my city,

I feel like a tourist.

Tell me to unpack my baggage.

I'll give you letters in English.

Because you give me love in another language.
