Away
In my mind, I'm away from here
Still standing looking down at him
And before I knew I was left alone
And he had left without a word
Pressed against the earth this way
I see the stars conglomerate
The city down away from here
Has room enough for one more tear
In the dark a dancing light
Some flash across the golden stair
One to lead the skull to sight
From where it's hid with woes and cares
Drift down on windy tongue
The breath of life and wordy song
It casts a shadow over my knees
And lets me rest in blessed peace
